The fall and New Year are times for new beginnings, not only with school but with other areas of life as well. Recent graduates enter the work force and parents with younger kids enjoy a little free time when they return to school. The opportunity to try new activities or join recreational classes or clubs.

Taking part in activities and classes offered at your gym is extremely convenient, especially for parents with children as many gym's offer a child care area to keep children occupied while parents exercise.
Outside The Gym
If you find yourself to be more of a sports oriented individual then perhaps heading down to your local recreation center or sporting club will present you with the desired options you crave to get active. You will find that these clubs and facilities offer a great deal in the form of organized co-ed and non-co-ed sports. Sports range from indoor volleyball and soccer to tennis, basketball, swimming, squash, racquetball or hockey. Joining a team is not only fun because you get to meet new friends and compete to win but you also put your body through a cardiovascular workout that strengthens your heart. Having fun with friends while staying healthy by exercising is a wonderful way to enjoy life!

Periodized training is a variable program which can be offered by your club which can incorporate SST for each new season’s sports- Golf, Hockey, Soccer and even kickboxing or martial arts. Whatever form of activity you decide to go with remember that any decision or choice made to be active is a good one - you can't go wrong.
